Alone or in fours

Run the trials solo or with up to three others. Company helps and also makes far more noise, which is exactly the trade Red Barrels want you making.

You cannot fight

No weapons. Night vision with batteries to find, doors to lock, lockers to hide in, and pursuers who search rather than patrol.

Between trials you unlock abilities and gear, so a run gets survivable rather than easy. The presentation is as unpleasant as the series has ever been.
