Ebisugaoka is quiet, remote and about to stop being either. The fog arrives, and Hinako's home becomes somewhere else entirely.

A new setting for it

Moving the series to rural Japan gives the horror a completely different texture. The beauty and the dread are doing the same job here, which is the whole idea.

Puzzles and monsters

You work through the twisted version of the town solving complex puzzles and getting past things that used to be something else. Survival is not assumed.

Behind it

Ryukishi07 wrote it, Akira Yamaoka contributed to the music, and the result is a story about doubt, regret and decisions you cannot take back.
