Pals can be caught, ridden, bred, fought alongside or set to labour on your base. They can also be sold, and in a hard enough winter, eaten. The game says so on the tin.

A base that runs itself

Assign Pals by skill — fire, electricity, mining, planting — and come back to a stocked camp. Want a pyramid? Put enough of them on it.

Land, sea and sky

Mount the right Pal and the map opens up. Gliding, swimming and flying all depend on which creature you happen to be carrying.

Guns and poachers

A ruthless poaching syndicate to break, and you are armed. Food is scarce, the ground is dangerous, and some of the choices are not pleasant.
