The biggest change the series has made. The tracks are no longer separate — mountains, forests and cities run between them, and you can simply drive off and explore.

New ways to move

Grind rails, jump off walls and skim across water. Learning where these fit into a lap is what separates a good time from a great one.

Knockout Tour

Twenty-four drivers, one continuous rally from one corner of the world to the other, with the back of the field eliminated at each checkpoint. It is the mode everyone ends up playing.

Free Roam

No race, no timer — just the whole world to drive around and look at, with things hidden in it. Weather shifts affect a Grand Prix mid-race too.
