About the game
Remake expands the first act of the 1997 game into a forty-hour adventure through Midgar's slums and plates, and quietly changes what the story is. It is the beginning of a trilogy.
Action and ATB
Attack in real time to fill a gauge, then pause to spend it on spells, items and abilities. Switch characters mid-fight; each plays differently.
Midgar
Sector 7, Wall Market, the Shinra building. Places that were a few screens in 1997 are neighbourhoods now, with people in them.
Play on PS5
Runs on PS5 through backward compatibility. Intergrade is the enhanced PS5 version with the Yuffie episode, listed separately.
