Mayu and Mio walk into Minakami Village and cannot walk back out. Everything that has ever happened there is still happening.

The camera is the fight

The Camera Obscura is how you see spirits and how you stop them, and holding a shot until the last possible moment is what separates surviving from not. The mechanic has been reworked so it carries exploration as well as combat.

Holding hands with Mayu

A new mechanic lets you take your sister's hand, which does more for the relationship between them than any cutscene in the original managed.

Rebuilt, not touched up

Graphics, sound and controls are all new. Skin and cloth are detailed to an uncomfortable degree, the village has been recreated with light and shadow doing most of the work, and 3D audio puts things much closer to you than you would like.
