Lilac, and what she can do

You wake in a laboratory underground as an Attuner, someone who can reach the Homunculi rather than only put them down. Several of them end up travelling with you, and each one you save changes what you can do in a fight.

A kingdom laid out to explore

Abandoned cities, laboratories with unpleasant paperwork still on the desks, a Sorcerer's Academy and factories built at a scale nobody needed. The map rewards curiosity and punishes carelessness in roughly equal measure.

After the Rain of Death

The story sits decades after the disaster that ended the old world, and it is about destruction and what grows back afterwards. Lilac is looking for her own memories as much as anything else.
