Battlefield 2042 is the series at its biggest. Maps hold 128 players on PS5, tornadoes tear through the fight, and vehicles from tanks to hovercraft change the shape of every match.

Conquest and Breakthrough

The classic modes are here at full scale: hold the flags or push the line. Specialists give each player a gadget and a role, and the gunplay has been tightened considerably since launch.

Portal

A community mode that remakes classic maps from Battlefield 1942, Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3, and lets players build their own rules. A lot of the game's best matches happen here.

Years of updates

Seven seasons of maps, weapons and reworks have been folded in. The game you get now is far more complete than the one reviewed at launch.
