A mind flayer tadpole is behind your eye and the clock is ticking. Baldur's Gate 3 starts there and then lets you do almost anything about it. It is a game that answers 'can I' with 'yes' more often than any other.

Turn-based, tactical, generous

Combat uses fifth-edition D&D rules with a light touch. Push an enemy off a ledge, set the oil alight, talk your way out entirely. Failed dice rolls lead somewhere interesting instead of a reload.

Companions who remember

Astarion, Shadowheart, Karlach and the rest have their own agendas and their own opinions of you. They argue, they fall in love, they leave. A hundred hours in, you will still be surprised.

Co-op for four

Bring friends and the party is yours together, on one console with split screen or online. Everyone gets a say in the dialogue, which is either wonderful or a disaster, depending on your friends.
