The sequel to Innocence picks up with the de Rune siblings far from home, in cities that do not know what Hugo carries inside him. It is a story of a sister who has already done terrible things to keep her brother alive, and is about to be asked for more.

Stealth first, then whatever it takes

Most encounters can be slipped past with the sling, a pot of tar and patience. When that fails, Amicia has a crossbow and no illusions left. The game lets you choose how much of a monster the road makes of her.

The rats are a weapon

The swarms are bigger than before and they can be turned. Put out a torch and a whole courtyard of soldiers disappears under the tide. It is horrifying and, once you get the hang of it, very satisfying.

A world worth the journey

Fourteenth-century Provence and the Mediterranean are painted with real care, from market streets to a sun-bleached island that may or may not hold a cure. Play it for the story. Stay for the last hour.
